Worship
The apostle Paul described true worship perfectly in Romans 12:1-2: “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
Preaching the Word
Second Timothy is likely the final letter that the apostle Paul wrote. It is written to Timothy, who was his “son in the faith” (1 Timothy 1:2) and personal envoy. Paul would send Timothy to churches to help take care of problems when Paul was unable to go there himself. In 2 Timothy 4:2, Paul writes, “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.”
Evangelism & Missions
The angel gave the Bethlehem shepherds “good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.” (Luke 2:10). When we support evangelism and missions, when we share the good news of the redemption that is in Jesus Christ, we glorify God, who says, “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation;” (Isaiah 52:7).
